Tall Tall Trees dropped by the boat for an afternoon of hypnotizing banjo tunes. Playing through “Picture Picture" and “Say Something Real,” his usual instrumental manipulations and loops had the crowd completely mesmerized — an impressive feat coming from a one-man-band.

On The Boat is a video series made possible by Squarespace featuring intimate performances shot at some of our favorite music festivals. For Newport Folk Fest in Newport, Rhode Island we chartered a boat, set a course for Fort Adams State Park and brought aboard some incredible artists and fans. The weekend was filled with performances by Lucius, Shakey Graves, Thao & the Get Down Stay Down, Hamilton Leithauser, Tall Tall Trees and Death Vessel.
