One early morning in Brooklyn, we had the honor of crossing paths again with Norwegian singer-songwriter Jonas Alaska. We met at New York Studio Factory to record him as he played a couple songs in a small room as the sun poured through the window. Jonas recorded stripped back versions of his sweetly heartfelt tribute to David Bowie, “Diamond In The Shadow,” and the introspective and melancholy “Love You Right.” 

The honesty in both of these performances is undeniable, and even quite jarring at times. These sessions capture Jonas Alaska in his truest form — raw, intimate, full of passion and intention, and with no distractions or flashy lights (besides the glow from the sun). Watching this makes you feel like you are not just in the room with this artist but in his head and his heart too. Our director Brittany Reeber did an amazing job capturing these moments; ones that truly exemplify why we love this music so much.
