Karyna is a singer, songwriter, background vocal aficionado and blogger based in Dallas, Texas. In high school, she became fascinated with interpreters of The Great American Songbook like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Judy Garland, and went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Studies from San Jose State University. Karyna left her hometown in California and discovered a rich artistic community in Texas. Inspired by their creative friends, she and her husband launched a blog about their pursuit of artful living. If she's not crooning jazz standards in a speakeasy or singing backup vocals with a local band, she's probably cuddling with her golden retriever, Indiana.
