The Last Bison - Switzerland

Angelic is the only word that comes close to describing The Last Bison’s Buzzsession from 2013. Recorded at Brooklyn’s iconic Degraw Sound, this live performance pulls you into a dreamlike serenity within seconds. With powerful vocals, lush strings, and the playful charm of a glockenspiel, The Last Bison draws you into their world that’s both strong and delicate.

While we love the studio versions on their 2013 album Inheritance, there’s something truly special about hearing “Sandstone” and “Switzerland” come alive in this acoustic setting.

We are so happy to announce that this stunning Buzzsession is finally available on your favorite streaming platforms! Even better? All proceeds are going to LA fire relief efforts through Habitat for Humanity.

Take a journey back to 2013 with us, to the iconic Brooklyn-based Degraw Sound studio. There, you will hear the unmistakably wonderful sounds of the Aussie band, The Jezabels. Their soaring vocals and ground-moving percussion strike the perfect balance of yearning and ecstasy. It’s hard to listen to this performance without blushing. Their 2013 looks hold up; what can we say? In our personal opinion, this may be our best-sounding Buzzsession to date. But that’s just us.

Annie DiRusso - Wet

Annie DiRusso - Wet

Last October, we hosted a Halloween Pizza Party with Annie DiRusso at Graduate by Hilton in Columbia, SC. Superfans were treated to unlimited Paulie Gee’s pizza made locally by Inzio Pizza. We had Against the Grain Gourmet gluten-free crusts for our celiac friends, Halfday iced tea and specialty drinks, and Cosmic Bliss ice cream for our new friends with a sweet tooth.

As a long-time fan of Annie and her music, it was a dream get an insider listen to unreleased tracks from the new album. It’s safe to say that on release day, I practically sprinted to catch the recorded version of “Good Ass Movie.” Annie and her guitarist Eden brought the best energy. Their infectious smiles and stage banter, captured in these videos, helped make these performances unforgettable.

Sit back and enjoy these live music videos of “Good Ass Movie” and “Wet” now on our YouTube!

Jelani Aryeh - I'm in Love

Jelani Aryeh - I'm in Love

We’re still absolutely obsessed with The Sweater Club, the 2024 album from Jelani Aryeh, and celebrated that love with his superfans the best way we knew how: a classic The Wild Honey Pie Pizza Party! Jelani is a rising star and an artist we’re excited to keep watching as his career takes off. His songs are almost too catchy. I don’t need Spotify shuffle anymore because in my head, Jelani’s tunes are on repeat.

On November 7, we took over the Graduate by Hilton in Tempe, with unlimited Paulie Gee’s pizza made locally by Re Di Roma, a specialty drink menu featuring Halfday Iced Tea, ice cream from our favorite sweet treat, Cosmic Bliss, and crusts from Against the Grain for our gf friends.

Jelani and his band absolutely crushed it during their poolside performance, and we’re thrilled to share the live music videos of “Marigold” and “I’m in Love” on our YouTube!

Voxtrot - Raised By Wolves

Voxtrot - Raised By Wolves

We missed our Austin friends so much, and just had to figure out how to get down to Texas for at least one party there last year. Enter Tito’s and our band friends in Voxtrot. We took over Store House Market & Eatery just outside of town in Bastrop for a classic The Wild Honey Pie Dinner Party featuring an intimate set from the band, and wild game feast from Chef Sonya Cote with Tito’s drink pairings. Ramesh and the band delivered a stunning set for 70 superfans and friends that, of course, we captured on camera.

Stay tuned for more parties coming to a town near you.

Runnner - I Only Sing About Food

Runnner - I Only Sing About Food

Runnner kicked off the weekend at On The Mountain 4 with a raw, powerful performance that set the tone for the days to come. Despite the band's sunny LA roots, they seamlessly blended into the snowy slopes of Hunter Mountain, creating a striking contrast between their laid-back style and the wintery backdrop. Noah’s striking vocals and vulnerable lyrics took center stage, especially on standout tracks like “I Only Sing About Food” and “Bike Again” from their 2023 album “Like Dying Stars, We’re Reaching Out”. The catchy guitar riffs captivated everyone in the audience, lingering in their minds long after the set ended. Runnner’s performance struck the perfect balance of emotion and energy, making it an unforgettable moment that began what would become an unforgettable weekend.

Gus Dapperton - I'm Just Snacking

Gus Dapperton - I'm Just Snacking

Since Gus Dapperton’s music first hit our ears in 2020, we’ve been trying to find a way to collaborate with one of our favorite indie pop artists. On The Mountain was the perfect combination of work trip and vacation for him and his band as they joined us for a weekend of wellness, music, and food. There were so many magical moments with Gus: sharing a Fat Tire in the tavern during the Local Natives set, his bandmate sister singing karaoke, sharing crispy cheese-covered Grillo’s Pickles at our Alpine dinner pop-up by Chef Elizabeth Heitner, practicing yoga with fans, the list goes on. We love Gus Dapperton and can’t wait for more music to come.

For his episode we recorded his intimate performances of “I’m Just Snacking” and “Palms,” which both sent our fans one set into a frenzy.

These videos are all a part of our brand new season of On The Mountain - our music video series hosted at Hunter Mountain and Glen Falls House in the Catskills, New York featuring episodes with Local NativesGus DappertonRunnnerGirlpuppyFat TonySalt Cathedral, and TOLEDO.

Salt Cathedral - Terminal Woes

Salt Cathedral - Terminal Woes

If you know The Wild Honey Pie, you know we’re besties with Salt Cathedral. We’ve been collaborators for over 8 years so when we were deciding which artists to invite to On The Mountain 4, they were right at the top of our list. For their episode, we recorded “Terminal Woes” from their latest album Before It’s Gone, and “Te Quiero Olvidar” from their debut album CARISMA, during their intimate set in the base lodge at Hunter MountainThe energy on set was infectious, with guests taking a break from somatic breathwork annd massages to dance to the feel-good vibrations coming from the stage.

Fat Tony - Texas

Fat Tony - Texas

We don’t work enough rappers and that’s become all too clear after our collab with Fat Tony for the fourth season of On The Mountain. Dude is a beast and his performance at Glen Falls House was truly such a highlight of the weekend. That, and of course all our time with him in the sauna with our Olipop towels. For his episode, the Houston-born rapper proudly repped his roots with a powerful rendition of “Texas” from his 2018 album, 10,000 Hours, and then turned up the heat with “Spectacular.”

TOLEDO - Sunday Funday

TOLEDO - Sunday Funday

Oh boy we love TOLEDO. Our bestie boys put on incredible performances for their episode of On The Mountain 4. Their surprise acoustic campfire set following the Local Natives set featured a cover of The Cure’s “Just Like Heaven.” It really was a moment we’ll never forget, staying warm by the roaring fire as the snow was falling and our ears were treated to their stunning harmonies.

Valerie June - Joy, Joy!

Valerie June - Joy, Joy!

Honestly, I think everyone in my circle is a lot a bit pissed and scared right now, so it feels like the perfect time for Valerie June’s vibrant and playful music video for “Joy, Joy!” The Appalachian folk singer truly is a walking ray of sunshine - her positive energy effortlessly permeates through the screen. In our music video, she rocks an array of bright-colored outfits, a bold red lip, and a smile that is simply infectious.

Working with director Taylor Washington, who claims that this music video “was an ode to my love of light and shadows,” we see how effective this vision is. One memorable moment in the video showcases June’s silhouette illuminated by a sun-like spotlight.

“Joy, Joy!” has been on repeat since last night’s midnight drop, and we cannot wait for her new album, Owls, Omens, and Oracles, coming out on April 11. You can pre-save it here!
